UCLA is standing by its decision, and now, so are its students!
Despite the public outcry regarding the university’s decision to grant Diddy‘s son Justin Combs with a $54,000 football scholarship, many of the student-athletes currently enrolled are defending him, as well, and maintain the amount of money the rapper makes is a non-issue!
One says:
“If you’re good enough to play football that you’re getting recruited, it doesn├óΓé¼Γäót matter how much your parents are making.”
And a Junior Volleyball Player agrees:
“[He] should be able to get [the scholarship] if he’s qualified. If he’s good enough on field … I don├óΓé¼Γäót think what his father does should play a role.”
Well said!
Justin didn’t choose who his father is, and he’s worked hard on his own to get this far!
Why should he and his family be persecuted for being successful??
However, we can certainly imagine that’s a difficult pill to swallow for those applicants from less-fortunate backgrounds!
There is no easy answer for this one! What do U think??
