Ugly Betty Alum Eric Mabius Arrested For Battery In Florida

Eric Mabius got in some trouble which lead to his arrest early Thursday morning.

Around 2 a.m., per reports from the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office to multiple outlets, the Ugly Betty star was caught up in an altercation at a bar in Yulee, Florida. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, they found an “extremely intoxicated” man and woman standing in the doorway yelling at people.

A deputy said the bartender and several patrons reported the woman was causing a ruckus and was asked to leave. Rather than calmly go, she allegedly spat on several people. That’s when Eric was said to have shown up and pushed her down along with another woman. He then allegedly got on top of the second woman and ripped some of her hair out. OMG!

When police attempted to control the situation, the actor allegedly refused to listen to what officers were telling him, and even snuck up behind the deputy. He was arrested, along with the drunk woman, on two misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting arrest without violence.

Eric is known for his work in the ABC show Ugly Betty for his role as Daniel Meade. He’s also starred in The L Word, The O.C., Blue Bloods, and Chicago Fire, among lots of other TV projects.
