U.S. Defense Secretary Wants DADT Repealed!

robert gates wants dont ask dont tell repealed

U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates is trying to fight against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” but he’s not optimistic that Congress will listen.

Here’s what Gates had to say about it:

“I would like to see the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” but I’m not sure what the prospects for that are.”

Despite efforts from individuals such as Gates, Congress has not acted to lift the ban thus far, even though President Barack Obama has promised to get rid of DADT.

Obama has said that the ban could be repealed in December or early January, following studies of the effects of a repeal on DADT on the front lines, and on home as well.

Sounds kind of bleak at the moment, but we appreciate your support, Robert Gates! Thank you for helping the cause, bb!

Do U think there’s any chance that “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” will get repealed?
