Usain Bolt was recovering from a stiff back and hamstring problems and people were worrying it could affect his performance at the Olympics.
But never fear, the 25-year-old Jamaican has said that he’s recovered and ready to go!
“I have been training great over the past two and a half weeks, so everything is coming together. I had slight problems but nothing too serious. I am ready to go.”
He’ll be carrying the Jamaican flag during the opening ceremony and, clearly excited and honored, said:
“Carrying the flag is an honor. For my country Jamaica I’ll do anything to be on TV. I’m happy. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”
He set three world records in 2008 at Beijing for the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m relay.
How will he do this year?
Will he be able to defend his titles against American runner Tyson Gay?
We sure hope not! LOLz!
