Blame the pesky kids!
As of today, Wednesday, Utah will be the only state in America to ban the sale of fruity alcoholic drinks at grocery stores and convenience stores in an effort to keep them from minors.
But what about adults that like the malty concoctions????
Not fair!
In fact, come soon, you may not be able to get things like wine coolers, Zima and Smirnoff Ice in Utah at all!
A new law says that such drinks must now have new state-approved labels on the front of the product that contain capitalized letters in bold type telling consumers the drinks contain alcohol and at what percentage.
Liquor companies are saying the economics of creating labels for fruity alcohol headed to Utah just doesn’t make sense for them.
Do y’all in Utah even really care?
Jesus drank wine! If he were alive today, he’d drink a Smirnoff Ice!
