Vampire Facial Clients Urged To Get Tested For HIV!

Vampire Facials Mexico HIV testing

Beware of vampire facials!
The New Mexico Department of Health is warning clients who received a vampire facial at an Albuquerque spa to get tested for HIV and hepatitis after one person got infected.
Health officials shut down VIP Spa immediately after the client reported the infection. The department conducted an investigation at the facility on Friday, finding that its injected treatments could spread infections like HIV, and hepatitis B and C.

This includes vampire facials, which use micro-needling to pull the customer’s own blood and re-inserted it into their face to refresh and rejuvenate the skin.
Spa owner Luly Ruiz said they only use disposable needles, but NMDOH officials said they were alarmed by how the facility stored, handled, and disposed of needles.
NMDOH cabinet secretary Lynn Gallagher urged customers who underwent the procedure to get their blood checked, saying in a statement:

“It is very important that anyone who received a vampire facial or other injection related service at the VIP Spa in May or June of 2018 come to the Midtown Public Health Office for free and confidential lab testing and counseling.”

The treatment surged in popularity after Kim Kardashian West shared a creepy selfie of her “vampire facial” on Instagram back in 2013.
