Now we finally know where this rocky relationship went wrong.
Back in November, Scheana Shay filed for divorce from Mike Shay, and now we know why. The Vanderpump Rules personality opened up to E! News about their big breakup, and admitted it wasn’t entirely about her former flame’s addiction issues.

The reality star spilled:
“We did couples therapy and as you saw last season, he did have the addiction with pills and once he quit that, things got a lot better. Then as you saw this season, once he quit drinking things got even better. But there were still things that happened outside of the pills and alcohol that I personally was never able to get over.”
One of the things the Bravolebrity couldn’t quite get past was when the musician up and left after Miz Shay’s family member passed away.
The brunette explained:
“He actually was the one to walk away, and the day he did, I had lost someone in my family who was very close to me, and that was going to be a very difficult thing to recover from.”
The 31-year-old continued:
“I just didn’t think it was something that was fixable, because from three months into the marriage, if it wasn’t one thing it was another and we both decided amicably that this relationship wasn’t working anymore and a divorce was the way to go.”
Well, at least they both agreed this was the right call.
