Vanessa Bryant Finds Unopened Letter From Kobe A Day Before Her Birthday!

Vanessa Bryant finds unopened letter from Kobe

Vanessa Bryant received an unexpected gift from Kobe Bryant for her birthday.

The basketball wife took to Instagram on Tuesday to tell fans she found a letter from her late husband the day before she turned 38 — nearly four months after Kobe and her daughter Gianna Bryant passed away in a tragic helicopter crash.

Alongside a photo of the unopened letter, Vanessa wrote:

“Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi ❤️I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today.❤️The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita- my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Just a few days ago, the former model paid tribute to Gianna on what would have been the basketball prodigy’s 14th birthday.

She wrote alongside a picture of the teen:

“Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna. Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!”

Unsurprisingly, it’s been a rough past few months for the mother-of-four.

As we reported, Vanessa has been trying her best to hold it together for the sake of her three daughters, but it’s been said Kobe’s wife can’t help but let the tragedy “completely consume” her at times. A source previously told Us Weekly:

“No two days are the same for Vanessa. One day she feels motivated, and the next she’s depressed and needs to take time for herself… There are moments when it all completely consumes her.”

Publically, however, Vanessa continues to be a pillar of strength. On April 13, she shared an emotional Instagram post to coincide with Mamba Day — a tribute to Kobe on the anniversary of his final game in the NBA now four years ago — about wishing she could “go back to that morning” of the ill-fated flight and change things.

She wrote:

“My husband worked his ass off for 20 years. Gave it his all. All he wanted was to spend time with our girls and me to make up for lost time. He wanted to be there for every single milestone and special moment in our girls lives. He only got to enjoy 3 years and 9 months of retirement. We had 2 more daughters, he won an Oscar, he opened Granity studios, he became a 5x best selling author and coached Gianna’s basketball team in that time. She worked hard and gave her all 7 days a week just like her daddy. I wish I could go back to that morning, every day. I wish they had a normal local game on 1/26. Life truly isn’t fair. This is just senseless.”

We’re wishing Vanessa the best on her birthday. Hopefully, reading Kobe’s words will help get her through the day.
