Vanessa Bryant is missing her best friend.

Following a beautiful illustration in honor of her daughter Gianna Bryant shared on Instagram a few days ago, she has posted a new image in memory of her late husband Kobe Bryant.

On Wednesday morning, she wrote alongside a photo of the smiling Los Angeles Lakers legend:

“#mybestfriend #theBestdaddy Miss you so much. #handsome #sweet #funny #silly #lovinghusband ❤️ Miss you saying, ‘Bonjourno principessa/reina’ (plz tag photographer)”

We cannot even imagine what she is going through.

Her latest heartbreaking post comes after a source shared with People:

“The shock hasn’t entirely worn off. She’s very tired; she hasn’t been sleeping. She’s worried about her girls, worried about what happens next.”

The insider explained (below):

“She’s got people around her who are helping her: physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally. She has spent the last week surrounded by people who love her and want only the best for her. She’s really being loved and cared for. And so are the girls.”

The 37-year-old has apparently taken comfort in the tributes which people have paid to her late husband and daughter, the confidant added:

“Every memorial means something to her. Every memorial is important.”

Lee Zeidman, president of the STAPLES Center, L.A. Live, and Microsoft Theater, tweeted out some of the quantities of items left by fans who have stopped by to pay their respects. Among those items were: 1,353 basketballs, over 5,000 letters, flags and signs, 14 large banners, 25,000 candles, 500 stuffed animals, and hundreds of shoes. At the request of Vanessa, some of the items will be delivered to her family, Zeidman wrote via Twitter:

“Rest assured that the tributes u have left will be delivered to the Bryant family.”

In addition, a 40-yard trash bin filled with flowers will be made into mulch and spread throughout the landscaping of the grounds “so that the love all of the fans brought to LA Live lives on,” Zeidman shared.

Though Vanessa and her girls were not in attendance for the moving tribute to the late legend on Friday at the STAPLES Center, she acknowledged some of what the team had done to honor her angels with a touching Instagram post.

She took the opportunity to share a photo of the two courtside seats reserved in their honor. The chairs were draped in their jerseys — number two for the young player and 24 for the Lakers star — and adorned with red roses. She shared:

“There is no #24 without #2. ❤️#GirlDaddy #DaddysGirl #MyBabies ❤️❤️ #OurAngels #KobeandGigi”

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Vanessa and her girls.
