Helen Bondoc lives in a trailer and hasn’t seen her daughter, Vanessa Minnillo, she was 9 years old.
We’re taking it she doesn’t keep up with celebrity news, because she didn’t know she was getting married, either.
When shown pictures of her newlywed daughter, she gets emotional:
Oh my goodness, she’s beautiful! She’s changed so much, though I can still see that little scar on her forehead from where she picked at her chicken pox when she was a child. I didn’t have a clue that Vanessa was getting married. We last spoke about 12 years ago, on the phone. I just wanted to talk to her and tell her everything straight about my life. But I still think about her all the time, and I still love her dearly.
So what happened? Why don’t they talk anymore?
When Vanessa was 9, Helen dropped her and her brother off at their father’s, telling him to “keep them for now.”
But she never came back.
Awww, sad!
When asked if she would ever like to meet up with her daughter, she immediately said yes, but fears Vanessa wouldn’t oblige.
This is really heart-breaking. A mother can be such an influential part of a daughter’s life. We’re honestly surprised at how great Vanessa turned out without the mommy figure. Guess it just shows how strong she is.
We hope they can reunite one day. It’s never too late to build that bond.
