As we mentioned last year, the Spiderman spinoff, Venon, was approved by Sony studios.
The flick centers around Venom, a parasite that attaches itself to a host via a gooey substance and then gives them special powers.
And now we find out that Gary Ross might be writing the script. And he might even be producing it as well.
Ross directed both Pleasantville and Seabiscuit, which just happened to star Tobey Maguire.
However, the studio refused to comment on Ross’ involvement with the script of his potential producing role.
But he’s not alone on working on the script, as Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Jacob Estes are also working on it.
Hope it’s not a flop!
