Victoria Beckham is NOT a fan of Nicola Peltz! Apparently this is not some minor squabble!
Insiders have been spilling the tea on the ongoing Beckham family feud ever since Brooklyn ditched his dad David‘s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month. Some tried to blame the rift on Brooklyn’s little brother Romeo‘s girlfriend Kim Turnbull — who also happens to be Brooklyn’s ex. But others have been hitting back at that, arguing Victoria and Nicola never got over their initial rift back during the 2022 wedding festivities. Judging from what these new insiders have to say, it does seem like there is still a lot of tension among the women! From WAY back!

On Sunday, a DailyMail.com source claimed the Spice Girls alum has been telling her friends she’s lost her eldest son to a women she calls a “viper.” Damn!
According to those who know the young couple, Nicola is the “boss” in the romance, which is a bad combination when mixed with the aspiring chef’s equally as doting momma. A longtime friend of the family’s dished:
“Victoria is fairly open among her close friends about what a viper Nicola is and how she feels betrayed by Brooklyn, so the mask has fully dropped. This is a takeover situation and it is all about the relationship between Victoria Beckham and Nicola. In some ways, Brooklyn has married his mother in Nicola. Nicola is a very strong woman and she wants to build her own family brand.”
Meanwhile, another source close to the Beckhams downplayed the drama:
“It’s a family story and not an unusual one. There’s nothing to add.”
While many of the sources hope the feud drama will die down, they don’t actually think a reconciliation will happen anytime soon. Bummer. Another longtime friend shared:
“David was a big peacemaker in the family and tried to make it right, but he is over it now. The feeling is that she [Nicola] has isolated him from them all. Nicola is very confident – far more so than Victoria – and she is the top dog in the relationship. Victoria is not the top dog in the Beckham household, it all revolves around David.”
David isn’t the only one holding the family back from making amends, though. Honestly, it sounds like the two most important woman in the 26-year-old’s life just do NOT get along — like at all. Their personalities are way too at odds! For example, their sense of humor is a big problem, the friend pointed out:
“Victoria has a killer wit and is very good with put downs. But Nicola isn’t funny and isn’t good on irony.”
Uh oh. Instead of quipping in kind, Nicola is just being mean, making “lots of ‘old’ comments like ‘When I get to 50’ or ‘Oh my god, I keep forgetting you were around in the 1980s'”:
“Needless, to say, Victoria hates this.”
Yikes. That is pretty disrespectful!
Unfortunately for Vicky and David, if Nicola really does drive a permanent wedge between them and their firstborn, they’ll see more damage than the other two! The friend pointed out that while the Beckhams family fortune is connected, it’ll be easier for Nicola and Brooklyn to build something new:
“The difficult problem for the Beckhams is that rift stories hurt their brand, which relies upon togetherness and everybody dressing alike in Victoria’s clothes and being best friends. But these latest stories don’t hurt the Brooklyn-Nicola brand. It’s the opposite. It helps them to be seen as an entity in their own right rather than just a satellite of Brand Beckham.”
Damn. That’s a really interesting point! They continued:
“Do you notice Victoria offers her satin slip dresses to all her female friends to wear to her parties? Nicola really doesn’t like that and refuses to play that game any more. Nicola feels Brooklyn needs to grow up and move on. She doesn’t like it when he seems to try to imitate his dad with his tattoos and his lookalike clothes and hair, so he’s sort of changed his look.”
Naturally, other sources hit back at this, insisting Brooklyn is not getting bossed around and that the couple share a real and deep love. So, it really depends who you ask these days. Seems like maybe it’s which inner circle the insiders are inside… That said, the tight bond between Brooklyn and Nicola is evident now as they band together against a common enemy — because when you hurt one of them, you hurt them both, per insiders.
Nicola and Brooklyn are also upset the wedding feud rumors have been “weaponized” and shocked by all the negative reports about them lately, which includes many untrue allegations, such as “lies” about problems with everything from Nicola’s wedding dress to the first dance. An insider said:
“They won’t talk about what has happened in public, that is not their way, but they have been treated really cruelly. They are very sad. They have tried to mend the relationship, and they still hope they can, but at the moment it’s hard to see how it can happen.”
A source also clarified a claim, saying the issue with the wedding dress was not Nicola wanting to go with a different designer but that Posh wouldn’t let her make the dress. A confidant spilled the tea:
“Nicola kept her mouth shut at the time and they both worked hard to mend relations. […] What is happening now is so sad and hurtful but she would never disparage her family. It is really sad for them, they are family people and that is one of the things which brought Brooklyn and Nicola together, their love of family.’
But Victoria has more issues with her daughter-in-law than just her rude humor! She’s said to be uncomfortable by how much of an inseparable pair the couple has become — such as dressing like each other’s “twin” to each taking the other’s last name (Peltz Beckham). She even hated their couple’s Halloween costume of Sonny and Cher. It’s all a sign of Brooklyn’s rebranding — made more obvious by the creation of the Peltz Beckham Foundation, which will aid dog rescue work, and Brooklyn’s sauce brand, Cloud 23. Both projects seem to be modeled after work Nicola’s parents have done. Is this why Victoria’s upset too?? Is Brooklyn favoring his wife’s family more?? Hmm.
Nicola has plenty of complaints about her MIL, including that she has “patronized” her. She also reportedly doesn’t think the Beckhams value the social and economic power her family brings to the table. Whoa. What a rich person problem! She also doesn’t think her in-laws understand her loyalty to her family — which is one reason she missed the fashion designer’s 50th birthday party last year (she was with her grandmother who has since died).
All in all, it sounds like they really don’t see eye-to-eye and both want to come first! That puts Brooklyn is a truly impossible position. Thoughts? Sound OFF (below).
