Victoria Beckham isn’t just speaking out publicly about her son Brooklyn, but working hard behind the scenes to try to make amends.
As Perezcious readers know, Brooklyn’s once-tight bond to his family withered away once his wife Nicola Peltz entered the picture. Their 2022 wedding is when tensions really skyrocketed, and a lot of the trouble reportedly stemmed from Posh Spice’s icy attitude with the bride. Brooklyn’s since come out to insist he’s had many problems with his parents over the years — and to declare he has NO interest in reconciling. Like, ever! Oof.

The parents haven’t given up trying, though their social media efforts just seem to be making it all worse. Now, the fashion designer is taking a different approach, and it shows how desperate she is to fix things!
Radar Online learned on Tuesday that Victoria is bowing down to the one person she wanted nothing to do with: her daughter-in-law! The source dished:
“Victoria accepts the fact that the ball is in Nicola’s court. It’s clear she’s calling the shots with Brooklyn. If it takes negotiating with Nicola to end this feud with Brooklyn, then Victoria is prepared to do it.”
The mother is said to be in tears constantly over the estrangement, and that’s why she’s willing to do whatever Nicola says to make things right:
“She’s absolutely heartbroken about how things have turned out with Brooklyn. She cries about the situation every day. The happy pictures she shares on social media don’t tell the real story. She’s crushed.”
It won’t be an easy fix, though. Vicky and David have only pushed the young couple further away by refusing to obey their son’s privacy requests, the insider pointed out:
“Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday. These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail. Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.”
Soooo, they’ll have some explaining to do! And they’ll need to prove with their actions they’re truly willing to change their ways. But, uh, this could be very hard to accomplish because not even both parents are on the same page about what to do!
Insiders claimed the soccer star is actually discouraging his wife from mending things. Oh, no! The source explained:
“David doesn’t want to see Victoria give in to this sort of immature behavior. He’s appalled at the way Brooklyn is behaving right now and thinks the last thing they should do is reward it.”
Jeez.
No wonder he’s not trying!
For now, the Spice Girls star isn’t listening:
“But Victoria doesn’t care. She’s at the point where she’s willing to do anything to have her son back in her life. She’s convinced that if she and Nicola could just sit down together one-on-one, there might still be a chance to repair the damage.”
We can’t imagine how she’ll be able to get far with a reconciliation without David on her side, but it’s worth a try!
