A Canadian fashion event has gotten Vogue‘s fashionable panties in a giant wad and are threatening to sue because of what it’s called.
The magazine’s lawyers are going after Victoria Fashion’s Night Out claiming the name of the event is in violation of a trademark.
A letter fired off from Vogue‘s legal team said:
“Our client did not consent to use of its Fashion’s Night Out trademark by your organization or its members and is extremely concerned by this unauthorized use of its intellectual property.”
Yikes.
Now that the event has felt the wrath of Anna Wintour and her legal eagles, organizers are scrambling to change the event’s name by next Thursday.
