Jay-Z Sued By Volcom

Volcom wants Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation to stop throwing their diamonds in the sky, so they’ve sued.

In their complaint, the California-based skate clothing company claims the diamond-shaped logo used by Hova’s music label is too close to Volcom’s “stone” symbol and is causing confusion.

Volcom’s used the “stone” since 1991, while Roc Nation only adopted the diamond in 2009. The clothing company tried sending Jay-Z & Co. cease and desist requests, but were ultimately ignored.

At the end of the day, Volcom is asking Roc Nation to stop using the logo, destroy any merch the features the logo as well as unspecified damages.
