Sorry, Jeremy Renner!
The box office reign of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters was short-lived!
But hey! What can you expect when facing up against a much-more-favorably-reviewed Twilight with zombies?!
That’s right, Warm Bodies, which stars Jennifer Lawrence‘s ex Nicholas Hoult and a blonde, emotive Kristen Stewart Teresa Palmer as zombie apocalypse-crossed, brain-eating lovers, opened this weekend with an impressive $20 million – which is $10 million more than ANY other movie made between Friday and Sunday!
Sadly, this included Sylvester Stallone‘s latest non-Expendables effort, Bullet to the Head, which only raked in about $6.5 million and found itself barely afloat among Best Picture nominees and Jessica Chastain‘s Mama!
But want to know what’s NOT so sad?
Movie 43 lost two-thirds of the already-abysmal ticket sales it managed to snag last weekend, and has fallen out of the top ten…and hopefully, out of our memories FOREVER!
Can we hear a resounding GOOD RIDDANCE from everyone, please?!
LOLz!
But check out which flicks made the box office top ten this weekend…AFTER THE JUMP!!!
Warm Bodies, $20 million
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, $9.2 million
Silver Linings Playbook, $8.1 million
Mama, $6.7 million
Zero Dark Thirty, $5.3 million
Bullet to the Head, $4.5 million
Parker, $3.2 million
Django Unchained, $3 million
Les Misérables, $2.44 million
Lincoln, $2.4 million
There Were Some Warm Bodies Filling Up Seats At Movie Theaters This Weekend...And Not Much Else!
