The Wendy Williams saga just took another intense turn.
On Monday, an insider speaking on behalf of her family pushed back HARD against the star’s guardian and her previous claims that Wendy will forever after be “incapacitated” from here following her dementia and aphasia diagnoses.
As you’ll recall, we reported last week on a heartbreaking revelation from the daytime TV legend’s guardian Sabrina Morrissey. Her legal team filed court docs at the very end of last month claiming that the 60-year-old celebrity is supposedly “permanently incapacitated” in her current state. Specifically, Morrissey’s legal filing noted:
“[Wendy is] an acclaimed entertainer who, tragically, has been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”
When it came time to cite sources for the shocking “permanently incapacitated” claim, Morrissey begged the court for “limited redactions” of the filing to “protect non-public information” about Wendy’s supposed health status:
“We respectfully request that the Court grant Plaintiff’s motion for limited redactions to protect non-public information from the Guardianship Proceeding that has been placed under seal by the court overseeing that proceeding.”
That passage should have caught your eye — because it certainly caught the attention of the Williams fam. While Morrissey is trying to bid the court to grant privacy on the matter away from the prying eyes of the public, the Wendy Williams Show alum’s family is now speaking out with a short but VERY terse response.

Anyways, the family insider’s specific statement read:
“She is more clear now than she’s ever been throughout the guardianship, which is a problem for some.”

Didya catch that turbo-shade at the end?! About Wendy’s alleged clarity being “a problem for some”?? Yeah, the family is SERIOUSLY at odds with guardian Morrissey here. Of course, that’s been the case for a while now. Family members have previously slammed Sabrina regarding her oversight of Wendy’s affairs, health, and daily life. Most recently, that has bubbled up into claims Morrissey has allegedly kept Wendy from seeing and interacting with family members and loved ones.
Morrissey is also facing new legal action from the television network Lifetime and the producers of the disconcerting Where Is Wendy Williams? docuseries, as well. This whole thing is a s**t show — with no signs of slowing down any time soon.
