Wendy Williams is just trying to get through the drama!
The daytime diva is hopeful that her family will recover from her ongoing divorce turmoil with estranged husband, Kevin Hunter — but right now, fallout from the breakup seems to be taking its toll on her.
When stopped by paparazzi at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Wendy broke down over her split after a photographer lightly pressed her on the subject.
While sitting in a car as she wrapped up her weekend in El Lay, The Wendy Williams Show host got teary eyed when a paparazzo asked if she’d ever make peace with Hunter, whom she recently fired from her show on the heels of her divorce filing.

Per TMZ, the TV personality started to get choked up and said:
“Please don’t make me cry.”
But then, gurl sucked it up and proceeded to spill some tea.
When asked whether she thought Kevin and their son, Kevin Jr., would patch things up after the two got into a physical fight that ended with police involvement last month, the former radio host exclaimed:
“Yes! They’re not apart. I mean, stuff happens in life… Everybody’s gotta grow up.”
Oh?
Sounds different than what we’ve been hearing…
As we reported, Junior and his dad’s relationship is still said to be on the rocks amid the couple’s tumultuous breakup. According to TMZ sources, Kevin Sr. not only feels that his son has gone “radio silent” on him, he thinks Wendy is the one behind it!
But during her recent chat with the paps, Wendy made it clear she’s hoping that the trio can make amends with each other and be a family unit for Junior’s upcoming milestones: his college graduation, his potential wedding, etc.
On camera, the 54-year-old has seemed nothing but happy and *over it* since news of her divorce filing broke. Production sources on Williams’ show have also been gushing about what good spirits she’s been in lately, with one insider saying back in April:
“[The divorce] could be the best thing that’s ever happened to her, personally and professionally. Now, [Kevin Jr.] is a huge priority in her life. [He’s] a reason to remain sober.”
Based on those tears during Sunday’s chat, however, it appears Wendy’s much more shaken up about the state of her family than she’s letting on.
Stay strong, gurl. The drama will pass!
