We’ve heard a lot of mixed things about Meghan Markle‘s past.
We mean, she *seems* like a radiant angel who happened to catch the eye of Prince Harry — and won him over with her charm and compassion.
But her half-sister and a couple other not-so-well-wishers make it sound like she’s some kind of heartless schemer using a hapless ginger for fame.

Well, we know someone who knew the Duchess way back when — and she’s a pretty good judge of character!
Chrissy Teigen spoke to the UK’s You Magazine about how envious she’s become lately of the Royals:
“Your first family are the opposite of ours: we have reality TV stars and you have royals. I am especially a fan of Meghan.”
In fact, she has been a fan for quite some time — even when they worked together as suitcase girls! Chrissy spilled:
“I was on Deal or No Deal with her and she was lovely. Now everyone asks me what she was like and I say, ‘Sorry, no dirt. She’s gorgeous.'”
As much as we would have loved some hot tea, we’re actually glad to hear this. She continued:
“I love the freshness she brings, and her cookbook Together [recipes from women affected by the Grenfell Tower fire] is my only pre-order of the year. It’s beautifully done and you can tell how important it is to her. You see how she interacts with people and gets down to eye level with kids.”
The woman does know her cookbooks…
