Apparently he’s a “strong bet!”

Brad Pitt is in the running to star opposite Carey Mulligan in the US remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

If he takes on the role Pitt will be reunited with Se7en director David Fincher.

Johnny Depp and George Clooney‘s have also been mentioned for the role and Carey Mulligan is rumored to have already secured a three-film deal for the entire Millennium Trilogy based on the books by Stieg Larsson.
