Don’t come for Whoopi Goldberg, y’all! Especially not if you aren’t equipped for a battle of wits anymore!
Donald Trump has been making rather inane attacks on opponent Kamala Harris lately. Like blasting her for going on a podcast… the day before your own, less viewed podcast episode drops. Recently at a rally he criticized her appearance on The View. Did he tackle the substance of what she said there? Nope! Instead he was too busy going after the ladies around the table, calling them “really dumb people.”
Huh. That’s the same thing he says about Kamala all the time. What could all these people have in common that a well-known misogynist’s go-to insult is that they’re low intelligence? Hmm…

Anyway, he had an odd comment about Whoopi in particular. Back in the ’90s, when he was content just being a celeb known for being rich, he did lots of cameos in movies. Apparently he did one in one of her lesser known comedies, a basketball movie called Eddie. But in the… let’s say eccentric… way his memory has been working lately, he got off topic and told a nonsensical anecdote about that, forgetting Harris entirely. He told his crowd Whoopi told him after filming:
“‘Oh, you’re so great. If you ever ran for president, you’d win.'”
What the hell? He’s claiming she told him that in 1996?? Who would have imagined he’d run for president in 1996?? Apart from maybe the weirdly prophetic Simpsons writers. Seriously, that makes no sense!
And Whoopi called him out on it, of course. Her response?
“Politics can do strange things to demented people.”
Daaaaaaaaamn…
But that wasn’t all! Trump also talked about hiring Whoopi as a comedian at his casino in Atlantic City way back when. And he once again pretended to be self-righteous for his evangelical base, claiming her act offended him with dirty words:
“I’m not particularly shy about what I hear. [But] her mouth was so foul. She was so filthy, dirty. Disgusting. Half the place left. I said I’d never hire her again!”
Well, she had a response to that, too! She quipped:
“You know how dirty I wasn’t? I never grabbed anybody by their genitalia.”
OH SNAP!!! Invoking his Access Hollywood hot mic moment and E. Jean Carroll sexual abuse verdict is as savage as it is spot-on! She continued:
“Many people use the F-bomb. He’s used the F-bomb… But there’s a difference between people who assault other people and people who say words that you don’t want little kids saying in the middle of church.”
