Whoopi Goldberg thinks everyone is being too hard on Janet Jackson!
Following the singer’s huge mistake of spreading a conspiracy theory about Kamala Harris‘ racial background during an interview, she’s been understandably facing some criticism. We mean, she straight up said she heard a rumor the VP wasn’t actually a Black woman — something that’s totally false! Harris is both Indian and Black.

After this, an apology was issued on her behalf, which proved to be unauthorized, not even approved by her. So we’ve yet to hear from Janet herself regarding the matter! But The View host is telling everyone to take it with a grain of salt.
During Monday’s episode of the talk show, Whoopi said:
“Sometimes people get it wrong and they’re wrong! They made a mistake, they were wrong. It happens. Anybody who says it doesn’t happen to every one of us, multiracial or not, we all do it. So okay, a little grace for the girl. A little grace for the girl.”
Hmm. Do U agree with this? Should Janet get “a little grace”? We mean, she could have just not commented or done a tiny bit of research before saying something like that. It’s election season, after all. Everyone should triple check their sources!
