Whoopi Goldberg Warns Timothée Chalamet After Ballet & Opera Diss: 'Be Careful, Boy'

Whoopi Goldberg has some advice for Timothée Chalamet after that ballet and opera controversy!

As we’re sure you’ve seen, Timmy T has been in some hot water after his chat with Matthew McConaughey went viral. In the Variety interview from last month, he said “no one cares” about ballet and opera anymore — which got those communities and all their fans absolutely PISSED at him!

There was so much backlash, so many viral posts, it was like the whole internet had turned against him for a while there. Not something he wants to be doing while he’s campaigning for that Oscar! And The View host is warning him to tone it down a little.

On Tuesday, Whoopi said while discussing Timmy’s comments:

“When you crap on somebody else’s art form, it doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t feel good to see. And you probably didn’t realize that until you said, ‘Oh, I’m in trouble,’ but then you compounded it and said, like, ‘14 cents.’ No, when people get mad, it’ll be a lot more than 14 cents.”

Looking directly into the camera, the Sister Act star gave the 30-year-old a stern warning:

“So be careful. I’m just saying. Be careful, boy.”

The audience seemed shocked by her statement — so the 70-year-old continued:

“He is a boy to me. He’s a boy to me. So no disrespect. And, really, don’t apologize when you’ve insulted, because it doesn’t sound right. You know, you can’t say, ‘Oh, this is dumb, no disrespect….’ That’s absolute disrespect.”

She’s telling him to stand on business and take the L! If you said it, own it! Just be careful going forward!
