Game Of Thrones Actor And Rocker Wilko Johnson Successfully Has Tumor Removed From His Pancreas!

This is GREAT to hear!
A little over a year ago, Game of Thrones actor and Dr. Feelgood rocker Wilko Johnson made the sad announcement that he was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and that he would NOT be undergoing chemotherapy treatment!
Well it looks like he has some good news to share as his manager Lisa Climie says he had the tumor in his pancreas successfully removed! She made the exciting announcement on his Facebook page, saying:

“Wilko is recovering following a nine hour operation on Wednesday in which doctors successfully removed a pancreatic tumour. The head of the medical team treating Wilko said that they were happy with his condition.”

While the announcement definitely seems promising, Lisa makes it clear that it’s still too early to celebrate.
She goes on to say:

“Wilko will stay under very close observation for the next few days. Although cautiously optimistic the team have to stress that it is very early days yet.”

This announcement comes just days after Wilko canceled a handful of shows from his farewell tour to seek medical advice on his condition.
Hopefully this is a good sign and there are more positive announcements coming in the near future!
