When Amy Poehler and Will Arnett called it quits, our hearts were broken.
While we still don’t know exactly why the couple decided to pull the plug after ten years of marriage and two kids, it’s clear that the pain of the split still haunts Amy.

The comedienne revealed in her new book, Yes Please:
“Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading up that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.”
What a heartbreaking analogy!
Amy added that the divorce was ‘too sad,’ and that ‘getting a divorce really sucks’.
Though the divorce was devastating for Amy, there’s a silver lining to the whole situation–the couple’s two kids, Archibald and Abel.
Poehler gushed:
“I am proud of how my ex-husband, Will, and I have been taking care of our children. I am beyond grateful he is their father; and I don’t think a ten-year marriage constitutes failure.”
It’s awesome that the two can still be great parents despite the hardships of divorce!
We’re also happy that Amy has a new boyfriend, Nick Kroll, to distract her from the pain of divorce!
