We wouldn’t mind if this woman went to prison for a VERY long time!
A four-year-old girl was attacked with a crowbar this past Tuesday by a woman at a Wal-Mart in San Jose, California, and police believe the attack was a hate crime!
Maria Garate was charged and booked into the Santa Clara County jail after the horrendous incident. She did not enter a plea at her court appearance.
The woman had hidden a crowbar in her duffel bag and when she entered the store she immediately made a beeline straight towards an Asian father and his four-year-old daughter, who was sitting in the shopping cart, and struck the girl with the weapon.
She made an attempt to swing and hit the girl again, but the father managed to get in the way and took the blow instead of his daughter. The little girl was later taken to the hospital where she was treated for non life threatening injuries. The severity of her injuries are unknown at this time.
The woman who attacked the defenseless girl showed NO remorse for her actions, according to the police.
The district attorney later said they believed the woman went after the family BECAUSE they are Asian.
Hard to hear about something so awful. Hopefully that little girl and her father are okay.
