A woman has been found dead in a garbage can – and now investigators are searching for information in the “suspicious” case.
On Wednesday, a woman was tragically discovered in a garbage can on Grove Street in Marysville, Washington just before 5:00 p.m., according to Fox 13 Seattle. According to HeraldNet, officers reported to the scene for a “subject down” call and confirmed she was dead shortly after.

Detectives with the Marysville Police Department were reportedly at the scene for several hours investigating the area and processing evidence. Later in the evening, the woman’s body was reportedly released to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office, where her identity, cause, and manner of death will be investigated.
Her family will be among the first to be alerted once her identity is discovered, according to King 5. As of now, police have not identified any possible suspects in the case. The MPD called the circumstances “suspicious” in a press release:
“We are in the very early stages of this investigation and have a lot of work in front of us to determine what took place.”
