The issue of gun violence hits way too close to home for Yoko Ono.
Having lost her husband John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980 by the gun of Mark David Chapman, the widow pleaded for peace and tweeted the following message to her followers:

There is a transparent peace tower in New York City which casts no shadow and is, therefore, very rarely recognized.

Yesterday would have marked John and Yoko’s 44th wedding anniversary.
So so sad!
