Of course, when the news of Zayn Malik quitting One Direction made its rounds around the world, everyone in the media just had to jump on the bandwagon. It was breaking news after all!

However, some people just took it a bit too far — we’re looking at you, Bill Maher!
In an online exclusive clip from his show Real Time with Bill Maher that was posted last week, the host made a pretty distasteful joke about the whole situation.
The 59-year-old actually compared the former boyband member to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man at the center of the Boston Marathon bombing that took place in 2013.
Was that really necessary to do? UGH.
