As we reported, Zayn Malik got pretty real during his Complex Magazine interview as he dished about his time in One Direction and what Kanye West taught him about fame.
However, it’s since been revealed that the Pillowtalk singer may have hinted about falling out of love with his former Little Mix fianc├â┬⌐e. Oof!

When asked if heartbreak was a major theme in his new solo project, the British cutie noted:
“There’s a lot of falling in love and a lot of falling out of love. It’s probably 60/40, falling out of love.”
Well, well. Perhaps we’ll get some clarity about what exactly went down last year when the duo officially called it quits!
He continued:
“I feel like you get creative with things when you can be honest. If you’re in a really good place, you can write a really good, upbeat song. When you’re in a sh*t place you can write a downbeat f*cking ballad! That’s just the way it is.”
Oh snap! Still, as his love with Gigi Hadid continues to blossom, we doubt the former boy bander will want to analyze his past relationship much further.
Nothing says closure like writing an album and getting a new squeeze. Right??
