Wow, and we thought having kids here was expensive!
Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou — best known here in the U.S. for having directed The House of Flying Daggers — has been fined by China the extremely nuts sum of $1.2 million! For having more than one child!
He breached the country’s one-child rule for families, and breached it by two: he has three kids with his wife, Chen Ting!
The cool thing is that he said he’s willing to pay the fine, and wants China to bring it on! He loves his kids, and any amount to pay for them and the happiness they bring is just groovy.
The fine was reportedly calculated using the couple’s combined income in the years the children were born.
He has 30 days to pay up!
Or move, we guess! LOLz!
