Rose colored glasses do not make you use a different muscle–that's just silly. Light can increase or trigger headaches, so the colored lense can reduce light sensitivity and filter out much of the light.

Hey CD, Gwyneth and her husband TRY not to be phtographed together. The bopth of them have made statements about this since they got married. They like their privacy and don't want to end up like Brad & Jen, Nick & Jess, and every other over-exposed couple that ended in divorce. Actually, the rose colored tint doesn't do any of that. I have been in optics for over 9 years and all the rose colored tint does is "hide the wrinkles" as old ladies believe. It seems to them that the rose tint cosmetically hides wrinkles and has some sort of an anti-reflective attribute to it, when in all actuality, it doesn't. Put a paper bag over your head, that will "disguise" the wrinkles. As for an anti-reflective, don't be a tight-ass do an actual anti-reflective, it makes an amazing difference in your vision and doesn't make you look like an old fogie!!!

Actually, there could be some truth to the idea that rose-tinted glasses are used for reduction of headaches, although it doesn't have to do with ocular muscles. Some research has shown that using "fl-41" as a rose-colored tint on glasses to be effective in reducing light-sensitivity and headaches.

I'm an optician and suffer from migraines. Tints of any color do NOTHING for migraines or vision or anything at all actually. They're merely cosmetic.
Actually, if she did have migraines, the bazillion botox injections she most likely recieves would alleviate them as botox is a "band-aid" of sorts for sufferers of frequent migraines.
