The Met Gala is undoubtedly the belle of the ball when it comes to fashion and high-society, but there’s a growing list of celebs on Anna Wintour’s s**t list she will NEVER invite back.
While 2026’s edition of fashion’s most exciting night has wrapped, fans are still actively analyzing every aspect of the high-profile red carpet, where many of the industry’s biggest stars came prepared in their most fashionable fits. But while some of our faves struck a pose, a noticeable amount of celebs who have attended past years were not in attendance… and while some weren’t there because they were boycotting Jeff Bezos‘ involvement, others weren’t because they’ve reportedly made it on Anna’s “death list”!
On Tuesday, a source spoke to RadarOnline about some of the stars who won’t be receiving invites to future events. Keep reading ahead to find out who!

Donald Trump
According to the insider, Trump TOPS Anna’s list of nobodies.
“Anna does not forget — or forgive — when it comes to the integrity of her guest list. Trump represents a line she has drawn very clearly.”
The controversial president was previously a mainstay at the event, but notably hasn’t attended since 2012. In 2017, Anna, who has been outspoken about her support for the Democratic party, even said on the Late Late Show she would never invite him back.

Kanye West
While the once-great rapper’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian continues to be a highlight of the event from year to year, the damage he has inflicted on his reputation across the past several years has not sat well with Anna:
“There is a sense that Kanye crossed from provocative into unacceptable. The Met Gala is about spectacle, but not at any cost.”
Lili Reinhart
Speaking of Kimmy Kakes, remember when she sparked controversy by losing 16-lbs in just three weeks in order to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s dress for the 2022 Met Gala? Well, Lili took to Instagram to fiercely criticize her:
“To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting. Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies.”
After which, she told W Magazine she didn’t expect any future invites:
“I don’t think I’ll be invited back. I said a certain something about a certain person in a certain dress.”
Gwyneth Paltrow
In 2014, Gwyneth told USA Today she vowed to “never [go] again” because of how “un-fun” it was. In an interview with The Cut, she slammed the “hot” and “crowded” event, claiming the guests are too old to “dress up punk.”
As recently as March of this year, Gwyneth revealed in a Goop post she has a “love-hate” with the ritzy event.
Tina Fey
The SNL alum attended the event in 2015 and proceeded to call it a “jerk parade” that she had no future plans on ever attending again during an interview with David Letterman.
Zayn Malik
In a 2018 interview with GQ, the One Direction alum slammed the event as “self indulgent.” He said of his one-time appearance in 2016:
“I did go, but I didn’t go there to be like, ‘Yo, take me serious.’ I was taking the piss! I went there as my favorite Mortal Kombat character, Jax.”
Amy Schumer
The comedian ripped the fashion event during a 2016 interview on The Howard Stern Show, claiming it “felt like a punishment.”
Nicki Minaj
There haven’t been any official confirmations that Nicki won’t be invited back, but due to her growing alignment with Trump, the source noted her return is unlikely.
Tim Gunn
The Project Runway personality told E! News he was “permanently disinvited” from the event after telling a story about Anna being carried down five flights of stairs by two bodyguards following a 2006 fashion show, triggering an “open ongoing war” with the fashion icon.
Rachel Zoe
A fellow fashion icon in her own right, Zoe claimed in a 2007 interview with the New York Times that she was more influential than Anna herself, leading to bad blood.
Overall the source noted:
“There is no written list, but there is a memory — and it is long. Anna runs the gala like an editor runs a magazine. Every name must fit the narrative and tone she likes.”
A second source added:
“You are either in Anna’s world — or you are not. And once you are out, there is rarely a way back.”
