First of all, yes, being a celebrity means you're in the public eye, BUT everyone has the right to refuse to be photographed or videotaped.
You know, "normal" people have to give permission to someone who wishes to use their image for something … isn't Gary a person too?
For instance, if Person A takes your picture, it's illegal for them to publish that image unless you give them permission to do so. They have to have permission.
Gary asked not once, or twice … he asked SEVERAL times that he not be videotaped.
Everyone, regardless of who you are, has rights. Why is Gary exempt?

There is no expectation of privacy when walking down a PUBLIC street. You can ask someone to not photograph/video tape you but they are under no legal obligation to comply with the request.
If someone photographs you while in a public arena, too bad. It's the price you pay when going out. Fortunately, 99% of people aren't interesting enough to warrant this.
