Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts announced on the show this morning that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will begin treatment in the coming months.

    I watch GMA every morning, and saw her make this announcement - she was visibly shaken, but strong and poised in explaining her situation. I hope she gets well soon, and hope others see this as an example of how much easier it is to survive this disease when it is found early on.

    And to eve, ROSANGELA BABY, and Diane: I know this is PerezHilton.com and, therefore, a certain amount of bashing, insulting, and rudeness is expected, but I would have hoped that Perez's readers and fans would realize that there is a time and a place for such "humor" and THIS is NOT one of those times. If/When something like this striked YOU at home, whether its your family, friend, or some other loved one, I hope someone tells them they are ugly, they have no chest, and that they should just shut up because EVERYONE seems to be getting an illness.     Wow, I am typing through tears here….I could not be sadder to hear the awful news about this classy and oh so talented woman. I am in awe of all the hard work she has done on behalf of her native La. after the devastating hurricane katerina…..
    She has focused so much of her energies and time to help communities that are still reeling.
    I will say my prayers for this beautiful woman and I know that millions will as well.

    I'm just finishing up my cancer treatment at MD Anderson (i hope) and i still sound just like Robin when i say the word CANCER. She is really great. I so hope she is ok. I am so tired of hearing how "brave" people are, i cryed and was so frightened just like her. May God bless you Robin.
