PhotoShop is awesome, huh!? He actually is nice looking in this picture. He's not ugly in others, he's just an average, normal person. I am so proud of him!

It's quite appropriate…this is a family cereal they're marketing. No need to display his nipples and washboard abs. If they were selling whipped cream, then it'd be different.

I don't think Michael Phelps himself would even claim to be a gorgeous guy, but I don't really think that's the point of the cereal box cover. It's celebrating a landmark achievement. I like the retro feel of this - it seems as American as Phelps does.

Re: Chelsea 93 – all (or most) swimmers shave the hair off their entire body, because it helps them swim faster — not by much, but it does help.
