Coleman Responds

Former child actor Gary Coleman was involved in an altercation earlier this month and accused of hitting a guy with his car.

The “victim,” 24 year-old Colt Rushton, later decided to SUE the apparently pennyless actor.

We’re still not sure why he thinks Coleman can pay up!

But, now, Gary is speaking out.

He claims he was being “stalked” by Rushton!

According to Randy Kester, Coleman’s attorney, “The charges against Mr. Coleman are absolutely ridiculous. Mr. Coleman is absolutely confident that he did nothing wrong.”

Their side of the story says that Coleman was backing out of a bowling alley parking lot when “his truck struck Colt Rushton” as well as a car nearby.

Is that car owner gonna sue him too????

Witnesses said that Coleman was bothered by Rushton who kept taking pictures of him. The two started arguing and took the argument outside.

Kester added, “This man brought it on himself.” Seems Coleman “was simply trying to leave the bowling alley and this man stalked him.”

But Rushton’s attorney said in a recent statement, “This wasn’t a situation of paparazzi or stalker-razzi, this was a fan snapping two photographs with a cell phone.”

Rushton is now suing Coleman for all his medical bills, including pain and suffering, and punitive damages as well.

The arraignment is set for October 14th.

If convicted, Coleman can face up to six months in jail for reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
