The Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrested a YouTuber who was allegedly causing a disturbance outside Nancy Guthrie‘s home, and the whole thing is causing a lot of controversy online!
The department released a statement on the matter via X (Twitter) on Thursday, revealing that “just before 5:00 p.m.,” deputies arrested “54-year-old Alexander Zabel Jr. in front of Nancy Guthrie’s home” after receiving “several complaints” regarding his behavior. They said:
“At the time of the incident, Mr. Zabel was live streaming from outside the residence. Deputies made contact with him and, during the arrest process, a PCSD sergeant was knocked to the ground. Mr. Zabel was subsequently taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex. He is facing charges of resisting arrest (Class 6 felony) and public nuisance (Class 2 misdemeanor).”

But is that the full story??

First off, according to KOLD and other reports, Alexander — who runs the CriminalNetwork channel — went live about an hour before his arrest. He was sitting along the side of the road when two deputies walked over to him and asked him to stand, saying he was under arrest. Alexander didn’t willingly extend his arms as officers tried to cuff him, asking why he was being arrested. A struggle ensued, causing one deputy to fall to the ground, though Alexander insisted he did not push him.
The content creator continued yelling — even calling one deputy a homophobic slur — but he never got a explanation for the arrest. See from the live stream:
But there’s even more to the story! This was actually the second time the YouTuber had been arrested this week!
On Monday, Alexander, along with two other YouTubers, was arrested on suspicion of obstruction of a highway or thoroughfare and public nuisance. Per KOLD, he was accused of setting up a “pee tent” on the road near Nancy’s home and allegedly dumping urine onto a nearby property. Not cool, if true! Court documents claim his “offensive” outdoor bathroom setup interfered “with the comfortable enjoyment of life of property by the entire community.” He also allegedly put traffic cones on the community’s road during a May 26 livestream.
Troy Lewis “DAA Juice” Bradshaw, and Damian Todd Enderle, who runs a channel called 857 Tucson, were the other two arrested, each on one count of public nuisance.
People flooded PSCD’s X (Twitter) with frustrated responses to their statement, reacting:
“Oooh PCSD you all did it this time!!! Your deputies came in there like a heard of clumsy elephants and literally attacked Alex and the whole department should be ashamed of themselves!!! Alex was doing nothing wrong!!”
“Go watch the video that Alex himself did. He never resisted one time. The cop feel to the ground while Alex was moving around. All he wanted to know was why was he being arrested. You have so much hatred for YouTubers that this is what you resort to. Shame on you.”
“It would seem that the arrest yesterday of Alexander Zabel was a bit excessive. Perhaps that injustice was done to Mr. Zabel. It was recorded live after all. Bad move, Sheriff”
“YOUR CLUMSY DEPUTY TRIPPED. IT WAS LIVE AND CAN BE WATCHED BY FRAMES ! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OVER THIS AND OVER THE WHOLE DAMN NANCY GUTHRIE CASE! YOU KNOW THE TRUTH. MAKE THAT ARREST.”
This is certainly a messy situation, and frankly, not the kind of arrest news everyone’s been hoping for in connection to Nancy. We’ll see what becomes of all this.
