Dropping the Catchphrase

Is this a good or bad thing???

The British media reports that the famous “Bond, James Bond” line has been dropped from the new movie.

Apparently, the director, its producers and star, Daniel Craig, all agreed that the “Bond, James Bond” line just didn’t work where it was written into the script so they dropped it.

The report goes on to say that getting away from the sometimes cheesily placed catchphrase is all part of a “deliberate attempt to bring the agent with a licence to kill into the 21st century, yet also to take him back to his 1950s roots.”

In case you didn’t know, James Bond started his life in books written in the 50’s by a Brit named Ian Fleming.

Hard core fans are supposedly welcoming this news because they feel that previous films, with catchphrases and other gimmicks, have veered away from how Fleming saw his ‘cold-blooded hero’.

What do U think?
