The Brits are such softies!

Pop star George Michael reportedly cried his way out of a drug conviction this past weekend, according to the UK’s Sun.

After cops caught the troubled star with crack cocaine and pot while he was loitering for sex at a public restroom, he begged them not to hand him a conviction because it would ‘kill’ his career.

His new tangle with the law could get him barred from the U.S., where he has an AIDS benefit gig next month.

Georgie claimed his charity would lose £2million (about US$4 million) in ticket sales if he could not go.

A snitch told the paper, “He was very emotional. He kept saying, ‘Please, you’ll ruin my career’. His sob story worked – he escaped with a caution. He was even chauffeured home. He only got away with it because of his celebrity status.”

An ex-Scotland Yard official slammed the police’s handling of the ex-Wham man’s latest run in with the law. Says the former commander, ├óΓé¼┼ôHe should have been prosecuted. He├óΓé¼Γäós clearly out of control. What does he have to do to be dealt with properly?├óΓé¼┬¥

Yeah!

What DOES it take to be ‘dealt with properly’ in the U.K.?

All the druggie Brit stars seem to run around above the law!
