Being a rockstar must be very dangerous business because members from both My Morning Jacket and Linkin Park have been recently injured, causing show and tour cancellations.
At a show Tuesday night at the University of Iowa, Morning Jacket singer-guitarist Jim James slipped and fell, hitting his head. After only 30 minutes, the show had to be canceled.
James was treated at a local hospital and released that night.
Not to be outdone, Linkin Park has had to cancel the Chinese leg of their tour because lead singer Chester Bennington has contracted a mysterious back injury.
The concerts were intended to raise money for victims of May’s fatal earthquake in China’s Sichuan province. Though the concerts are off, the band still plans on keeping their word and donating to the province’s reconstruction, with their promoter in China and World Bank helping out.
It’s dangerous up there on stage!
