Catherine Zeta Jones to Walk Like an Egyptian in 3D

Aging beauty Catherine Zeta Jones has been tapped to play the Egyptian queen Cleopatra in an upcoming $30 million 3D Hollywood epic to be called Cleo.
Rumor is that Hugh Jackman is in talks to play her Roman lover, Mark Antony.
The film will reportedly be Hollywood's first try at a musical based on the infamous lovers and will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, who directed CZJ in Traffic.
CZJ did show off her musical chops in Chicago, for which she won an Oscar, so we're confident that she'll handle any of the singing and dancing stuff thrown her way.
This will either be really good…or really bad. Either way, sounds like a really fun time!

I believe Cleo came from the Ptolemy's so she would have been lighter skinned, more greco or olive skinned. She wasn't Egyptian simply because she was an Egyptian ruler. It's like people in the U.S. vary in color greatly.

I've always loved the Cleopatra movie with Elizabeth Taylor and I can't imagine why they feel the need to do a remake - especially now. And Egyptians are NOT BLACK EITHER…they sometimes are light tan color…they are a mix of shades just like us.oo OR blacks to brown to cream….they can make up her skin to give her a bit darker coloring IF necessary but she seems to have a pretty skintone anyway. Thats what they did to Liz, even tho' she looks white in that pic I think its flash. She didnt look THAT white in the movie. Nor did Burton. BUT A MUSICAL? AUGH,. Ive seen several and they don't all look the same any more than we do (so called whites or so called blacks - well all come in differing shades…) Even where the darkest of blacks come from in Africa, they vary in shade as well.
