Ugly Betty Headed To The TV Graveyard?

Is Ugly Betty running on its last leg?
ABC just announced that it's benching the show - bumping it out of its Thursday night spot beginning in late March and replacing it with Samantha Who? and In the Motherhood.
The network says that Betty will be restored to its original slot once Samantha and Motherhood have run their courses, which means that audiences may not get their fix until June.
A publicist for ABC said, "Betty is a solid performer and there is no question that it will definitely be back to complete its season, just without repeats."
But the rep doesn't specify when.
Things are looking UGLY for Betty!

I quit watching at the beginning of this year. It is, essentially, the same episode over and over again. Betty gets caught up in some wacky hijinks, loses sight of her values but realizes, with the help of her family, who she really is. And then it starts over again next week. There really does need to be some character growth. Plus, when Christina leaves the show is going to suck even worse.

The show seemed to have lost it's magic after the writer's strike… and the move to NY.
Ugly Betty is a good show with potential, but this season so far has been sucking. It also doesnt help that the new episodes have been on a somewhat random schedule.. a month without a new episode here and there, 2 weeks between episodes now? Its annoying to try to follow that.

For me the best part of the show (besides Vanessa Williams) was Marc and Amanda picking on Betty. Now they are all friendly, the show is not much fun… Adios!~
This sucks! Ugly Betty is an awesome show! The characters are well developed, and the stories are cute and entertaining, not simply the same old thing. I hope they don't axe it!

ugly betty would be going on hiatus and airing repeats in the same time frame, so abc decided to not air repeats (UB repeats get horrible ratings), the midseaon run of motherhood and samatha who are short orders as it is, they wont run long
The show was too kitchy to have a real future. It became too contrived and phony.
ABC has been terrible in promoting their shows- actually over-promoting shows like Betty and ignoring good shows like "Pushing Daises"
Not all shows done in other countries translate well in the U.S. Just look at that Aussie show, Kate & something on NBC. Hit in Australia, total BOMB in the U.S.
I do not watch tv…I only make time for Ugly Betty…at least they aren't permanently taking it off…just postponing it a bit…but I do feel as though they should at least finish out the season and then air the other shows in Betty's spot. That would be much smarter.

Betty is not as good as it use to be but they can revive the show just like Housewives. I have watched it from day 1 but it'd getting old now.
The show would be much better if Betty were gone. Her character is truly unlikeable…she does have good qualities, but I cringe at her annoyances. And I see nothing wrong with her physically changing as she matures on the show - every other show characters change over time and evolve - she has not yet evolved much at all…

Yeah this show isn't good. I watched a few episodes this season and the writing SUPER SUX, and the show's are repetitive. It's too bad though, they should fire the writers and get some fresh blood.

The show has been sucking for a while now! Betty is boring and crazy and does everything in a stupid childish manner! Plus, how long can one wear braces for? WTF? Besides, no one wants to watch the show without HENRY on it.
