Jimmy Fallon is gearing up to prepare for the debut of his very own talk show next month.
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon set to premiere on March 2nd, and set to join Fallon on day 1 will be Robert De Niro. The actor will also be joined by Van Morrison, who’ll be performing.
Producer Michael Shoemaker said “I think in the case of Robert De Niro, he had a lot of [talk show] experience and he knows Jimmy well. Jimmy has done skits with De Niro on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and I think [De Niro] knows Jimmy will take care of him.”
What does De Niro even have to promote right now?
As for his guests the rest of the week, those will include former coworker Tina Fey, Jon Bon Jovi, Cameron Diaz, Billy Crudup, Serena Williams, Ludacris, Donald Trump, Drew Barrymore, and Mario Batali.
Unfrotunately, the only one we’re interested in watching is Tina Fey.
Shoemaker adds, “These [guests] aren’t going to be someone Jimmy has never met,” Shoemaker says. “It really wasn’t for a ‘comfort level’ thing – he just happens to know amazing people.”
As for the show, Fallon’s in-house band will be The Roots, and the announcer will be SNL alum Steve Higgins.
We’re kinda thinking Jimmy will bomb. What do U think?
