We mentioned earlier about the homophobic remarks heard on Thursday night’s premiere of So You Think You Can Dance? If you missed it, watch the sad statements from Nigel Lythgoe above.
Well, people are mad and rightly so. And GLAAD (the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) is sending out a call to action.
Neil G. Giuliano, President of GLAAD had this to say about Lythgoe├óΓé¼Γäós remarks: “It├óΓé¼Γäós unacceptable for this kind of blatant homophobia to occur. Fox Entertainment and Nigel Lythgoe owe Misha, Mitchel and the whole LGBT community an apology.”
The organization is asking the community to reach out to the network to voice our concerns and demand an apology from Lythgoe for his snide and homophobic remarks. They have provided the following contacts to call and discuss the matter.
