Newly resigned Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has been accused of violating ethics laws to help pay her legal debt, which reached an estimated $500,000 due to prior ethics complaints!
Seriously?!
The Alaska Trust Fund was set up by Palin friends and supporters to aid the Governor's legal fees. As such, Sexy Sarah is accused of misusing her official position for personal gain resulting in a privately funded legal defense fund.
Since the average citizen facing legal charges would not be able to generate donations, attorney Thomas Daniel states, "In contrast, Governor Palin is able to generate donations because of the fact that she is a public official and a public figure. Were it not for the fact that she is governor and a national political figure, it is unlikely that many citizens would donate money to her legal defense fund."
The report from the Alaska Personnel Board suggests that Sarah should refuse to accept payment from the defense fund, which brought in $130,000 last month!!!
Although the Governor received the complaint last week, the Alaska Fund Trust website is still up and running.
In these tough economic times, we'd like to think donations would go to people genuinely in need!!!

Apparently, anyone can raise any sort of allegation against the governor in Alaska and she, along with her people, is forced to answer every complaint.
