Flight Attendents, Please Prepare For Your Reality Show

They should call it: The Hills in the Sky!!!
The CW is adding a new reality show to it's roster. This one will follow flight attendants who work for Virgin America Airlines. It's name: Fly Girls!
The show will follow five flight attendants as the jet-set across the country and enjoy places like New York City, South Beach, and where else, Las Vegas! The show's premise has the girls constantly looking for "good times, great parties, adventure and love."
Let's hope the latter isn't found in a airplane bathroom stall!!!!

Kristen Vadas, head of alternative programming for the CW, released a statement explaining more about the show:
“This show is about real, down-to-earth young women who happen to have landed in an exceptionally glamorous, high-flying career filled with exotic locations and handsome strangers. We’re thrilled to be working with Virgin America for this unique peek into a whirlwind lifestyle that shows how tough it is to be grounded when you work 35,000 feet in the air.”
Uh-huh, sure. Just one problem there: no "real, down-to-earth young" woman would actually do a crappy reality show. That's what makes them horribly wonderful!
The show has already been picked up for 8 episodes and is slated to premiere in early 2010.

This is the worst fucking idea I have ever heard. It would be far more interesting if they traveled abroad and we got to seem them trying to make their way in different country. But this is a 'been there, done that' reality TV show thats going to bomb and lose a bunch of money! the CW should take the money they are putting into this show and give it to charity.

um, how is the life of a flight attendant "extremely glamorous"?
Well, yes, I am going to watch because I am 23 years old and used to be a flight attendant!! What glamorous life are they talking about? Are you kidding me? I made about $1200 per month, and I shared a 3 bedroom apartment with 8 other flight attendants in Jamaica, Queens NY (the same neighborhood 50 cent got his face shot up in)! I could barely afford to eat and pay bills, and many meals were crackers and sprite left over after flights. It's going to be interesting to see how their lives get "glamorized"….I'll definitely be watching.

Watched a preview of this show when I was in Vegas… It is absolutely horrible!! It is soooooooo bad. Nothing good about it at all. Don't watch. So staged, so fake. Idiot girls. Worse than the hills

Don't know what airline you worked for, but it obviously wasn't Virgin! All Virgin airlines flight attendants (Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Blue in Australia, etc.) are VERY glamourous and have a really fun, exciting job!
Virgin fly girls are a return to the fun & sexy days of the '60's & '70's…too bad other airlines don't realize this is the way it should still be!

I think A& E already did that with southwest airline and it was an ok show.

Not exactly…the A&E show was about SouthWest Airlines and focused mainly on the airport staff. Virgin America, especially their flight attendants, are in a completely different league than SouthWest! Virgin's crew is all young and gorgeous (just like stewardesses were a couple of decades ago).
Re: SF_Grasshopper – SF_Grasshopper, have another cocktail. You obviously work for Virgin and havent been around long enough to see the shit side to the job. I know plenty of Virgin flight attendants who would beg to differ with you about the glamour and that includes America, Atlantic, Blue and Australia. Don't worry, though..You'll realize it one day.

OK, I work for Virgin America and I know who will be in this show…Beautiful, maybe. Bitches, definitely! They can't actually film the crew while on the plane, so most of this "reality" will be on the ground. Let me tell you, if you wanna watch some made up drama about unreality then this is the show for you.
Another orginal programme by the networks in America,…..it is a take off of the British comedy Mile High. Let's hope they don't mess this up like they have Kath and Kim or the Office.
