T.R. Knight lends his celebrity and time for a good cause. The Grey's Anatomy cutie patootie was one of the guests at the 2007 Matthew Shepard Honors event at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday.
In memory of the late Matthew Shepard, his foundation aims to help gay youth and campaign against hate crimes.

I was at this event!! I sat next to T.R. and he was unspeakably nice and polite. He's a lot like George in the show but soooo much cuter in real like - I never found he attractive but he's a cutie. He made a really great speech when he was presenting that I believe he wrote bc it wasn't on the teleprompter. Whenever he had to stand up he's be like "I'm really sorry" when I had to move my feet even a little! Seems like a really, really great guy. Matthew Shepherd Foundation is amazing and Judy Shepherd is one of my fave family friends and just an amazing person for all she does. LOVES IT
Also, to the above comment - Matthew Shepherd was lured by 2 hateful young men to a field where they beat him and tied him to a fence all night and left him for dead. He died a few days later because they beat him so badly. NOT A ROBBERY, unless you count the robbery of his life. Think this doesn't sound so bad? One of the investigators on the scene testified that Matt was covered in blood, so much that the only place on his body that wasn't covered in blood was the trails on his face from where he'd been crying.
