William Shatner has not been asked to make a cameo in the new J.J. Abrams-directed version of Star Trek, and he’s mad!
The film will tell the story of a young Kirk and Spock, and Leonard Nimoy will reprise his role as the pointy-eared Spock in the film. Several other original cast members will also have small parts in the film. But not Shatner.
“How could you not put one of the founding figures into a movie that was being resurrected? That doesn├óΓé¼Γäót make good business sense to me!,” the actor tells TV’s Extra. “I├óΓé¼Γäóve become even more popular than I was playing Captain Kirk. I├óΓé¼Γäóm good box office and I get publicity├óΓé¼┬ª. But, they are going in a different direction and it├óΓé¼Γäóll be a wonderful film.├óΓé¼┬¥
Girlfriend, simmer down.
