Angelina Jolie's Mom!

Wow. This vintage video is amazing!

Shot in 1980, Marcheline Bertrand looked just like Angie does today. Identical!

So gorgeous!

Bertrand gave up acting to be a full-time mother to Jolie and her brother, James.

R.I.P., Marcheline.

How To Capitalize On Angelina Jolie, By Jon Voight

wenn-jonvoight.jpg

Guess it is hard times for Jon Voight!

Though he is estranged from his daughter, Angelina Jolie, and probably has never even met most of his grandchildren, he is not above exploiting their enormous fame for his personal gain.

Look for the re-release of Angie's big screen debut, Lookin' to Get Out , on DVD this week, which he also produced.

She was itty-bitty then - a mere five years old! So cute!

It seems Voight got his hands on a newly edited copy from the late director Hal Ashby and he thought it was time for the world to revisit the critically crapped-on flick. He seems to think that the movie should be revisited, stating : "Hal was working on two other films at the time (of the movie's release), and there was a lot of drama. Our film was handed over to other editors, and the result was a crippled movie. We were very hurt by the reception…Finally, this is the film he intended. It's like a message in a bottle."

Uh-huh. That's one reason.

Or your desperately trying to remind people that you are related to Angelina and garner some pocket money while doing it.

If you were our Dad, we wouldn't let you near our culturally mish-mosh family either!

Megan Fox Does Not Equal Angelina Jolie

wenn-jolie-fox.jpg

Angelina Jolie's estranged father, Jon Voight, says that that he can discern some similarities between his daughter and actress Megan Fox, but maintained that "everybody is unique."

Calling them both "sexy gals," he pointed out that "they're both in action pictures now."

Michael Bay then stepped in, claiming the start of both ladies' careers by casting Jolie in a Meat Loaf video back in 1994 and casting Fox in Transformers.

But Fox, however, insists that she has nothing in common with Jolie besides tattoos, dark hair, and roles in action movies. She said, "I'm not the next anyone."

Ain't nothing wrong with being compared to Angie!!!

Saint Angelina's Bad Luck

wenn-anjolie.jpg

If you are a celebrity or public figure, we recommend staying away from the nation's capitol for awhile. Bad shiz is going down over there, and celebs are getting screwed left and right!

This weekend marks the date of World Refugee Day, and in honor of the occasion, several events have been planned for the high-profiled names helping the cause. One such event was planned for Thursday, and as a source explains, a bit of bad luck clouded the festivities.

Among the noted guests were Hillary Clinton, Anderson Cooper, and Angelina Jolie.

Well, as we mentioned, poor Hillary slipped and broke her arm, so that took her out of the event. Then, Anderson Cooper's plane was struck by LIGHTING! Geez, what kind of sign from God is that? Anderson is a deets journalist.

And speaking of journalists and perhaps the worst bit of luck, with all the other guests injury or fried by lighting, poor Angelina Jolie was forced to spend the evening with Ann Curry!

Terrible!

Someone should start a support group for poor Angie!

But besides celebrities getting the fuzzy end of the lollipop, the event was a great way to sponsor a great cause. If you'd like to get involved, please go HERE and join the cause group on Facebook. For every person who registers, Microsoft will donate $1 to the cause.

Angelina Jolie: Audrey Hepburn 2.0

angieaudrey1.jpg

We think the exquisite legend Audrey Hepburn would be flattered to know that actress and U.N. Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie reveres her work. Who doesn't?

But Angie has worked hard these many years to build the kind of legacy Audrey has left, one paved with good deeds that make people forget she used to carry a vial of blood around her neck.

Clearly, still not there yet! But almost, bb!

This morning, Santa Angeina spoke with Ann Curry on The Today Show, the poor thing, about the work she is doing and the influence Audrey's humanitarian contributions have had on her.

"I'm lucky to be in this," says the mother of many. "And I'm sure Audrey Hepburn felt the same."

Angie went on to say that her crusade will be one she hopes her own children become a part of as well:

"There's been refugees since the dawn of time. And I'm sure, you know, my children will be visiting and learning from refugees in the future."

Good idea. Bring the kids back to their countries of origin and rub it in the faces of the other kids who weren't lucky enough to have a famous celebrity adopt them.

We kid, we kid. You are doing nice things, jolly Jolie!

Angelina, Saintly In D.C.

angie1ap.jpg
angie2ap.jpg

Angelina Jolie is doing some good this week as she and other members of the United Nations will come together for the World Refugee Day in Washington, D.C.

Today, Thursday, began the commemoration at the National Geographic Society and as a Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie was present for the proceedings.

Just remember Angie, you are there to save the children, not bring them all home with you.

Who Hung Up On Angelina Jolie???

pcn-angie.jpg

How embarrassing!

When designer Malcolm Harris was told Angelina Jolie was calling him, he promptly hung up on her. Twice!

No, he isn't stupid, although we're sure he feels that way, but at the time he was under the impression that someone was prank calling him. It was a reasonable enough assumption.

How many people actually get phone calls from Angie??????

He was finally convinced when she reminded him that they were both participating in World Refugee Day this coming Saturday. Once they got over the awkward hurdle, Jolie generously bought three of Harris' dresses for $225 each, knowing that a percentage of the proceeds go to the UN's refugee effort.

Harris confirmed the story and said, "I was so flattered."

Yeah, you should be!

Wanted: More Angelina!

angie.jpg

Though her storyline seemingly ended in the first installment of the action film Wanted (a curved bullet to the head will do that to a gal), there might be hope that we'll get more Angelina Jolie action in the Wanted sequel.

Russian director Timur Bekmabetov admits he wants the action mom for the flick and that production will begin as soon as next month.

We'd love to see how he is planning on resurrecting Angie. He better not pull any crap with a prequel!

No word yet if James McAvoy will return as well.

Would U see another Wanted if it had Angie in it?
